300 pages down, 66 to go! With some motivation and a vastly riveting ending, I can finish tonight! Otherwise...it'll have to wait until tomorrow.

I had edited this into my last post, but Mara posted afterward so I'll just do a new post! My favorite part of the book is:

Finished! About to leave for the day, so I probably won't be able to share my thoughts until tonight or tomorrow. But at last, I can click on the spoiler tags! It was my destiny.

Edit: The only thing I'll go ahead and say is the following, because I can't wait to say it:

Interesting read. Some parts I love and other parts I hated. First off, whoever created the description of the book needs to be fired. There's no reason to give away a major event that doesn't take place till half way through the book. That's just inexcusable in my mind.

And Mara is disagree with your last statement.

For about the first two-thirds of this book I thought it was pretty meh, when it finally kicked in, it kicked in well. It wasn't Allston at his finest, but it was good.

I received a free copy of Conviction the other day, and though I haven't read anything past Outcast in this series, I skimmed through the book to find a certain part.

I still do not have this book. I am developing a nervous twitch.

Be strong, Padme. Don't give in to the Dark Side of the spoiler!

By the way, when, do you think, are you approximately due to pick up your copy from the library?

New review up for Conviction!

Conviction Review

Beware of minor spoilers, although I don't believe there's anything you would see in the review that you haven't already seen in this thread. Hope you enjoy. Smile

good review, Elyse! I rather enjoyed reading your "lame" introduction - As Allies in fandom, it is my Conviction that we should band together against the Vortex of negative comments swirling like a bad Omen across the internet, lest we reap the Backlash of these actions and each become an Outcast to our own beloved saga.

Haven't read it yet (the minor spoiler tag put me off) but as with every article I'll get round to it eventually!
